Privacy

Privacy-first by default.

No accounts, no sign-in, no ads, and no third-party tracking. Your games, players, scores, tournaments, and seasons live on your device by default.

The short version: Backlo is built local-first. Normal app use does not require a Backlo account or a Backlo server.

Data Stored On Your Device

Backlo stores games, players, scores, rounds, tournaments, seasons, settings, and statistics locally on your device in a private app database.

No Account Required

Backlo does not require an account, email address, password, or sign-in. You can use the app as a guest.

Optional Live Spectator Sharing

Backlo can optionally publish a basic live scoreboard so other people can follow a game from a browser. This is off by default and enabled per game. When enabled, the shared scoreboard can include team names, scores, sport, current round, and match status. Shared scoreboard data is handled through Apple's iCloud CloudKit services and is governed by Apple's privacy practices.

Analytics

Backlo does not use third-party analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs. If the app includes optional local insights, those counts are stored on your device unless the app clearly asks you to share something.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Backlo schedules local reminders on your device. Backlo does not operate a push notification server.

Purchases

Backlo may offer optional in-app purchases through the App Store. Payments are processed by Apple. Backlo does not receive or store your payment card information.

Third Parties

Backlo does not sell, rent, or share personal information. The app does not contain advertising SDKs or third-party tracking SDKs.

Deleting Data

Because Backlo data is local-first, deleting the app removes local app data from your device. Optional shared scoreboard records stop being updated when sharing is disabled or a game ends.
